업데이트된 VirtualBox

Sun Microsystems 사의 VirtualBox 가 3.1.0-55467 버전으로 (껑충) 메이저 업 되었습니다. ?

VirtualBox 의 고질적인 문제점이었던 USB 장치 착/탈시 인식 에러 문제가 아직 불안한 모습을 보이면서도 상당부분 (적어도 제 경우는) 해결된 것으로 보입니다.

VirutalBox 는 VMware 와 비교하여 기능면에서 딸리고 아직 미흡한 점이 많지만 부팅과 셧다운 속도가 빠르며 여러모로 훨씬 가볍다는 장점을 갖고 있습니다.

Guest OS 인 XP 의 내 컴퓨터에 USB 가 잡힌 모습입니다. 반갑네요.

WindowsXP-KB955704-x86-KOR 를 설치했더니 exFAT 파일시스템이라고 정확히 읽는군요.

소니 디지털 카메라도 잡힙니다. ㅠ,ㅜ

저는 이렇게 Settings 의 USB 항목에 제가 갖고있는 모든 USB 장치를 미리 등록해 놓고 사용합니다. 인식률이 훨씬 높은 것 같습니다.

아울러 Guest Additions 도 업그레이드 되었으니 재설치하시기 바랍니다.



기능강화 외 외관상 눈에 띄는 바뀐 부분들입니다.

저렇게 메모리등 용량표시 바가 칼러풀하게 바뀌었습니다. ㅠ,ㅜ

2D Video Acceleration 지원이 추가되었습니다.


이번 버전은 이전 버전의 삭제없이 설치와 동시에 업그레이드 됩니다.

스냅샷 보강, 저장장치에 대한 인터페이스가 약간 달라졌고 2D Video Acceleration(이거 뭐지?) 이 지원된다는데.. 천천히 살펴봐야겠습니다.



VirtualBox 3.1.0 (released 2009-11-30)

Experimental support for EFI (Extensible Firmware Interface; see the manual for more information)
Support for paravirtualized network adapters (virtio-net; see the manual for more information)
