Windows Thin PC Community Technology Preview (CTP)
On February 9, 2011, Microsoft announced Windows Thin PC, a derivative of Windows 7 designed as a lightweight version used only in thin-client scenarios. Microsoft announced that it is expected to become available during early 2011.[12] A Community Technology Preview (CTP) version was released publicly on March 28 through their Connect website.[13] On May 2, a Release Candidate (RC) was made available on their website.
Windows Thin PC (WinTPC) Release Candidate (RC) is now available.
What is Windows Thin PC?
Windows Thin PC (WinTPC) is a smaller footprint version of Windows 7 that allows customers to repurpose existing PCs as thin clients without requiring the VDA license to access VDI desktops. WinTPC replaces WinFLP. In addition, WinTPC will offer:
- Rich VDI experience through support for RemoteFX
- Improved end point security by denying certain disk writes via filters
- Enterprise-grade management support through System Center
WinTPC is available as an .iso file. The Quick Start Guide is your first step in the Windows Embedded Thin PC Release Candidate, including installation steps and instructions for submitting feedback. This document can also be found under Downloads on the left side of the page. We've also included a step-by-step Deployment Guide.

이 TPC 는 윈도우 xp ,기반이였던 윈도우 FLP 를 잇는 저사양 컴퓨터용 윈도우 7 이라고 보시면 되겠습니다.
다운로드 속도는 초당 5메가
readme 파일을 보니 명령어 입력하면 인증이 된다더군요.
참고로...
윈도우 FLP 도 여러가지 자잘한 업데이트가 있었던 거와 같이...
이것도 ie9 기본탑재되어 나옵니다..

업따구 2011.05.27 12:11 제 컴이 acer 1410 11.6인치, cpu su2300 dual 1.2GHz, 메모리 4기가, 인데 윈도7에서는 780p영화를 돌리면 50-99%의 cpu를 먹습니다. 1080p는 재생이 안되고요. thinPC로는 1080p영화도 60%, 780p는 20%미만으로 무척 잘 재생이 됩니다. 계속 thinPC를 쓸 생각입니다. 굉장히 좋습니다. 근데 한글을 깔고 나서는 윈도 기본 글꼴이 변경이 되네요. 어떨게 하면 원상 복구 할수 있는지요.

또 현재도 구형 노트북에 계속 Windows ThinPC를 사용하고 계신가요?
Windows 7 에디션 중에 가장 요구사양이 낮은 Starter외 비교 중입니다.
